| | Graham Dewhurst's Funeral |
| Geoff Stokes and Paul Sorrell have both sent me the funeral arrangements for Graham Dewhurst.
It will be held at:-
Dukinfield Crematorium
12:00, Thursday 21st November
After the service, family and friends are going to Oaklands, the old Masonic Lodge at Godley.
Paul is also trying to get hold of Mark Smith. Mark is an Openreach engineer who used to garage at Cheetham Hill exchange.
If you have contact details for Mark please get in touch on the contact page and I will pass them on to Paul. |

| Bernie Rowlands sent us this sad news.
I was very sad to get a telephone call from a relative of Fred's to say that he passed away last week.
Fred had not been well for some time. He will be remembered as an excellent engineer and a good colleague. |

| Paul Sorrell and Geoff Stokes have both brought this sad news to my attention.

Mori was a good bloke and all will miss him.

| | Farewell Ken Brash |
| Steve Kenyon has informed me that Ken Brash has passed away.
Steve went on to say:-
Ken Brash died last week.
About ten weeks ago Ken was diagnosed with cancer, further tests showed it had gone through his whole body and there was no treatment that would help, the main affected area was the brain.
His funeral is:
Thursday 5th September 13:30
At Altrincham Crematorium

| | Goodbye John Higson |
| John Higson sadly passed away on the 22nd June 2013.
John, until his retirement, worked in the Manchester Area. He joined BT (or as it was in those days,the GPO) circa 1964.
John's funeral is on Wednesday 3rd July at 12:45 at
Radcliffe Crematorium. Cemetery Road, Radcliffe, Manchester, Lancashire, M26 4EU.
Followed by a burial at Overdale.

| | Shambles: First Thursday of every month |
| Nigel Scott has asked me to mention that he and a selection of colleagues mainly of the construction persuasion meet lunchtime on the first Thursday of every month at the Shambles, Manchester.
The next one will be 6th June 2013. |

| | Farewell Alan Staley |
| To all friends and colleagues of the late Alan Staley who sadly passed away on Wednesday 8 May 2013 after a long period of illness.
Many of you will remember Alan who worked as a Town Fitter then transferred to PW staff and finally worked on the PW control in Telephone House. He also spent many years as a football referee.
For anyone who wishes to attend his funeral, the service will take place:
Monday 20 May 2013 at 12.00 noon
East Lancs Crematorium, (also known as Radcliffe Crematorium)

Access is via Greenbank Road, off Ainsworth Road, Radcliffe.

| Graham Edney has asked me to pop this notice on the website.
Alan Banks spent many years in Dial House working in Rampart and Transit, DDSN, followed by a brief spell out in the sticks around Bolton and Wigan.
Then deciding the way forward was mobile phones joining O2 formally Cellnet will be waving his huge arms goodbye to the Post Office/British Telecom/BT/Cellnet/BT Cellnet/MMO2/O2/Telefonica/Huawei.
So Hurricane force winds are expected in the Manchester area on
Tuesday 30th April from 1pm onward
Venue The Moon on Deansgate.
