notice.jpg Canal Boat Trip
 Hello everyone.

For few years John Essex has organised a canal boat trip. This year we were planning to do the Llangollen Canal on 23rd September for a week.

Time has meant that over the years our numbers has dwindled. I missed one when I was caring for my wife Sandra.

This year the numbers have reduced to make it impracticable. Before we call it off we wondered if anyone wants to join us. If so please let me know at lolw@btinternet.com.

It's good company, an enjoyable way to see the country.

Regards

Lol Williamson

Sad to announce the death of Tommy Hall on Wednesday 11th January aged 86 after a long illness. Tommy spent all his BT life in Dial House, 2VF,Pioneer & Dalton. He was for many years T.O.A. in Dalton & was one of the best people I had the pleasure to work alongside. A lovely bloke and very fair to all the staff. I know the funeral will be at Agecroft but I do not have any more details yet. I will put all details on the Notice Board as soon as I know them.

Neil Runciman Has asked us to canvas support for his election to the IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) Board.

Hi,

I wonder how many of you remember me I joined BT in 1966 as an Apprentice, a T2A then TO on the first floor Dial House from 1969 to 1979 and a AEE in Rutherford until 1982?

Following which the Region and then a national role until eventually leaving BT in 1998. I have been managing projects and programmes through my own company since 1998.

I have been a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) since 1977 and following the reorganisation of the governance of the IET decided to stand for election to the IET Board, subject to nomination and sufficient votes.

Many thanks

Neil Runciman
