| | Sorry to report that Arthur Whyte, the retired cleaner from Whaley Bridge has passed away. No details of funeral yet.
Arthur started about 1985 at Disley, Whaley Bridge and all the Buxton exchanges until his retirement.
Lovely bloke, sadly missed.

| | Allan Henson informed us of this sad news.
Dave was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour earlier in the year.
He had had surgery and further treatment and returned home and was in reasonably good spirits.
Unfortunately Dave took a turn for the worse and developed Sepsis and passed away this morning (5th July).
Dave's funeral arrangements:
Wednesday 18 July at 11:30
Duckinfield Crematorium
Hallgreen Rd
SK16 4EP
Afterwards people are welcome to

| | I am sad to report the Death of Vin Carey who passed away peacefully on the 2nd June.
He spent his earlier years with the GPO at Dial house then went to Eccles Exchange where he worked until his retirement making many friends on the way.
His Funeral is on Tuesday 19th June at
11 O'clock Holy Family Boothstown M28 1DN
12:15 at Howe Bridge Crematorium off Lovers Lane Atherton M46 0PZ

Brian Wrote:-
Tony passed away peacefully on the 18th of May in Springfield Hospice after a long illness.
Tony spent most of his BT career in Guardian Exchange, the last few years before early retirement were spent in Dial House.

I found out this morning that Dave Oldham passed away.
He had been battling with prostate cancer for many years but it eventually spread to his bones and he died peacefully while asleep at home on Saturday night.

| | Sad to report the death of Jack Henshall, he died on Friday and his funeral is next Monday 21st May at Stockport Crem. at 12.45
Jack worked for a long time on subs. in the Heaton Moor area and latterly on the test desk at Stockport ATE.

STANLEY GORMAN Stan, of Sale, passed away peacefully at St Ann's Hospice on 4th April 2018 aged 74 years. A much loved husband of Lorna, a loving father to Jonathon and David, devoted Grandfather of Tara and Christopher. Father in law to Gib. Stan will be greatly missed by all family and friends. Funeral service to take place at Altrincham Crematorium on Monday 30th April 2018 at 3.30 pm. I can tell you that Stan was my TO on Works Orders in the Telex Exchange York Street when I started in 1978. I was with him for about a year until I moved to Circuit Provision across the road in Rutherford House. I lost touch with him over the years, as you do.
But when our paths did occasionally cross it was always good to catch up.
