In The News
Thanks to Diane Ethrington for bringing to my notice her piece in Saturday's Evening News in the 'In Touch' section of the paper.
Dianne is calling to all the 'Hello Girls' from Cathedral, Chapelgate and Peterloo. Along with engineers from Dial House.
Dianne goes on to say. 'We have tracked down over 300 former colleagues but we want to reach out to many more old friends'.
Charity Nominations
We have had a charity nomination from Lynne Pringle-Adley. Lynne has nominated St. Ann's Hospice.
Lynne works at the hospice in Little Hulton as a volunteer.
She says 'They need to raise £15,000 a day to keep the doors open so that it is available for everyone's benefit. It is a privilege to be able to volunteer there as well as being a very happy place and it would be fantastic if we could help this very worthy cause. I am sure that every one of us has a friend or member of our families who have suffered from cancer or a life-threatening disease at some point. Thank you for reading this, it is really appreciated.'
Any profits made at the reunion are donated to charity. There is still time to nominate your favourite charity. The final decision will be made by the reunion committee next week. Get in touch via the contact page of our website.
