| Alan Farrell contacted us with this sad news

| |
| I was informed earlier that Dave Smith had died, he was visiting a friend down south. Apparently he got up out of the chair and just dropped dead.

| Dave worked for many years in the field around the Bury, Whitefield and Radcliffe areas but latterly was on a control for the north west, working out of Warrington.
