Jeff Horsfall has been in touch with the sad news of Barrie's passing.
I have been notified of the following.
Barrie BJ Smith passed away on Tuesday 12th January 2023.
Barrie was a former UG Maintenance engineer working out of Macclesfield TEC in and around Macclesfield, Congleton and surrounding areas.
The following is from local paper, The Macclesfield Express:-
On Thursday 12th January 2023, peacefully in the East Cheshire Hospice, Barrie aged 78 years. Beloved and loving Husband of Jennifer, loving Father of Christian and Kirsten, dear Father-in-Law to Tracey and David, loving and devoted Grandfather of Elinor and dear Brother of Sheila and Roy. Barrie will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Barrie's funeral arrangements:-
Requiem Mass at 10:15am Thursday 16th February
St Alban's Catholic Church
Chester Road
Macclesfield
Cheshire
SK11 8DJ
Followed by a private Service of Committal at Macclesfield Crematorium.
Family flowers only. Donations may be made, to The East Cheshire Hospice.
