| Dave Bell posted the sad news of the death of Rob Roland on WhatsApp
Rob Rowland died yesterday his wife Carol posted it on Facebook.
Dave went on to say that he worked with Rob in Dial House before he emigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1994. He had just reached 74 last month. I met him in Toronto in 2005. RIP.

From Manchester now living in Toronto, Canada. Been here for nearly 18 years. Married almost 29 years as I write this anniversary in July with 3 adult kids. Life is different here,especially with the varied extreme weather conditions through the year.
Worked at BT Manchester GPO et al 1965-1994. Emigrated to Canada Nov 1994 and worked at MTS Allstream Telecommunications company had various names during this time until 2010. Laid off and now working for myself. | |

It’s always sad to hear that another old work colleague has left us - Rob was a really nice guy. Happy memories of the laughs we all had during our exchange maintenance days at Chorlton ATE during the early 1970s. RIP sir! |

Sorry to hear the passing of Rob. As a TTA I have fond memories of working together at Chorlton ATE then meeting up a later in Dial House. Farewell. |
