| | Glynn Fletcher contacted us with the sad news of John's passing.
Just heard John Foley has died. John was on transmission construction in Manchester South.
He was an ex-fireman hence his nick-name Fireman Foley. He was very much into amateur dramatics at New Mills Art Theatre.
No funeral details yet.

So sad to hear of John's passing, I was on exch constr When the then new Macclesfield exchange was being wired up. Great fun along with '' Syd Rowe & Derek Smith '' who both died earlier this year. |

Sad to hear of Johns death.I shared a room in 'Digs' with him on the 4 week General Auto course at Harrogate around 1965.I remember him showing me pictures of a serious accident he had in a Fire Engine shortly before going on the course.I spent my days on Exch. Const. in Mcr North and never came across John again but remember him well.RIP John |
