| | Farewell Dave Smith DAS |
| Jeff Horsfall has been in touch with the sad news of Dave's death.
Jeff wrote
Received the following from Dave Armstrong;
Dave Smith affectionately known as DAS sadly passed away on Saturday 13th June at his home in Wales. I understand he had been battling with cancer for some time.
Dave was probably best known as TOA at Macclesfield RSC in the 1970s and 80s. RIP Dave and sincere condolences to his family.
I have no details of funeral or family contacts sorry.
Due to the current restrictions on gatherings it is unlikely that friends and colleagues will be able to attend the funeral.
If any further information becomes available we will add it to the notice. |

Was Dave 'DAS' Smith ever based at Central Exchange 26 York St on customer app and line There was an engineer with initials 'DAS' but everyone called him Tony Smith. He worked on coinboxs. I can't remember what the D stood for but he didn't like it and preferred to be called by his second name anTONY. Tall slim lad lived over Chapel en le Frith way. |
