 | | Sad news Peter Hicks |
| | It is with great sadness that Peter Hicks passed away on Sat 17th Oct 2026. He was diagnosed with Mesothelioma at the end of Aug. It was a sudden shock to his family and friends that he passed away so quickly.
I first met Peter in Telephone House in the early 70's on Planning and Estimating. His role was on Exchange Planning. We were based on the infamous 6th Floor. Infamous, because of the annual Xmas Parties that were celebrated there. Peter was one of main organisers, and it went on for several years until it got banned! it was good, while it lasted
We drifted apart, workwise, when he moved to Sales in the early 80's and stayed there until his retirement in the mid 90's. We kept in touch over the years, with our get togethers in Manchester. Meeting up with numerous similar groups around town and there are many!.
I will put the funeral details here when they are available.
Thanks
