| | Remembering Mark Langford |
| Mark died last year, unfortunately we have only just been told of the sad news. Paul Southworth contacted us with the details.
With great regret I am belatedly letting you know of the death of Mark Langford, ex-Dial House Exchange Construction and latterly Openreach, who died on May 9th 2024.
Mark was a lovely bloke, fiercely loyal to his family and friends, quiet, and yet would not spare his opinion about something he felt was wrong, and he was also a VERY fine guitarist a massive fan of Frank Zappa, which probably gives you an idea of how good a guitarist Mark was, keen cyclist, and enthusiastic allotment-holder.
Mark followed his dad, Frank, into 'Post Office Telecommunications' in Dial House, where they both simultaneously worked for a time. Towards the end of his career Mark got moved into Openreach, which he quite honestly couldn't stand, so he took release aged around 49 and enjoyed the rest of his days cycling, sharing possibly four, I think, allotments with a friend, and playing guitar.
Mark Langford
September 8th 1961 - May 9th 2024
Mark's funeral was on 16th July 2024. | |
