Dave Timperley has been back in touch with an update. The Court case on his death has only just been held in Chester.
The driver Paul Jorgensen was found guilty of causing death by driving without due care and attention after a four day trial which concluded on 11th November. He was sentenced on the 3rd December to 36 weeks in prison suspended for 18 months and was disqualified from driving for 12 months and also ordered to to take 20 rehabilitation activities including one to improve his driving skills.
Brian was crossing London Road North when he was hit by the car travelling at 30 mph. He had already crossed over one lane and had nearly reached the opposite pavement. Jorgensen claimed he had appeared out of nowhere, but the police proved that he was not concentrating on the road ahead.
