Just heard the sad news that Colin passed away.
Colin worked on north area construction at Ashton-Under-Lyne ATE in the seventies.
Colin joined bt as a TTA in 1969 and retired in 2010. The photo was taken at Rutherford House in 1999.

Very sorry to hear this sad news, there is too much of it at present and I guess it could get worse. If I have the right Colin Bennett ? A youthful picture would help. I first met Colin in 1979 at Openshaw Tech on night courses (Line and Customer App) then on day release for HTEC. Our paths crossed later when he might have worked on the ground floor at the NOU in York Street. I think that I last saw him, either at a parents evening in Ashton College or was it visiting at Tameside General, they could both have been equally stressful. My sympathy goes to his family and thanks to those who manage this site. |
